Pittsburgh Gateways, a non-profit economic development support organization, purchased the historic Connelly Trade School and transformed it to The Pittsburgh Energy Innovation Center (EIC). A LEED Platinum building, and winner of the Green Development Award from NAOIP Pittsburgh in 2018, EIC’s cutting-edge training, education, and research center supports the new green economy in Western Pennsylvania, and showcases the new and evolving green building technologies and provides start-up facilities for emerging green business ventures.
